Joined BlueWX in 2025 as CEO. In prior, Kaz was Managing Director and Partner at Boston Consulting Group and led its Transformation Practice for Japan. Management experience includes Deputy CEO of a leading Japanese watch maker and COO/CFO of an airline company in Asia.

Graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University, and completed the doctoral program in Earth and Planetary Sciences at the Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University, with a Ph.D. (Science).

He has served as a JSPS Research Fellow (DC1), a visiting researcher at the University of Oklahoma, a visiting researcher at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, a RIKEN Special Research Fellow and a Special Research Fellow in Basic Science, a JSPS Overseas Research Fellow (University of Miami), and a full-time lecturer (fixed-term) at the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University. He is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University.

He specializes in elucidating meteorological phenomena such as typhoons and cumulonimbus clouds, large-scale numerical simulations using supercomputers, and basic theoretical meteorological research.

Recently, he has also been involved in research related to aviation meteorology, conducting research that contributes to elucidating meteorological phenomena related to aircraft, such as turbulence.
