BlueWX received Tokyo Venture Technology Award for its AI-powered turbulence prediction system

BlueWX Company Limited, a Tokyo-based corporation led by CEO Kaz Watanabe, has been selected as a recipient of the Tokyo Venture Technology Award for the 2025 fiscal year, which is organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

In light of this achievement, we will exhibit as an award-winning company at the Tokyo International Industry Exhibition 2025, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from Wednesday, November 26 to Friday, November 28, 2025. On the first day, November 26, our Founder and CTO Yoshiaki Miyamoto will speak at the Tokyo Venture Technology Award ceremony and presentation.

About Our Award-Winning Product “AITurbulence”

In recent years, the risk of aircraft encountering turbulence has increased due to the progression of global warming, and the number of reported accidents caused by turbulence has been rising globally. Furthermore, the intensity of the turbulence itself is increasing.

When an aircraft encounters turbulence, it can lead to various issues, including injuries to passengers and crew, damage to cargo and equipment, and flight delays or cancellations.

AITurbulence contributes to safer flight operations, less fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, and cost savings in the aviation industry through highly accurate turbulence prediction powered by AI (deep learning).
